Gear Ratio's fpr 1/8th
have many have tried different clutch ratio as well as main gear?? if so leave feedback and is it worth it?
was thinking of getting a 14T just for some extra on bigger tracks.

I'm using 14T and 13T in my hyper8.
14T feel slightly smoother on acceleration. Occasionally I like using 14T because I want to minimize tires slipping when exiting corner on full thottle. More over, my home track got 1 ultra long straight way.
Top speed not much different, slightly faster.

I tried 14T on a wide open track, but my motor didn't like it. There was very fine dust that made the track tricky, and my motor over heated, so I went back to 13T.
I was thinking of making a minor change, replacing the 48T main diff gear for a lightened Kyosho 46T. That would be like an intermediate change between 13T and 14T. Besides, being lighter, has less rotational mass, wich helps the low end too....
What do you think?? Would this work???

hmm less rotational mass, id say that it definatly would have some benifit, less stress for the engine and it being able to deliver power more easily, id suggest doing a track test, lets say lap time weather it be you driving or some one else driving your car and use both gears to compare the feel of the buggy and lap time on the 1st 2-3laps. track test well i think since the engine would have a easier time delivering power it ll have more of a chance to provide its best performance even if its 1-2sec overall.

There's also lightened outdrive cups for the center, forward and back diffs. I bet those help the motor a lot, giving it more snap!!
