This is what some people think of the JP4, back in the "Jammin X1 CR , so close..." post (end of page 135 onwards...):

I always liked the JP1 on my Jammin engine more than any of the other JP pipes as well. Recently one of the guys tried the JP4 and his top speed and fuel economy went up but the low end snap went down. Go with a slightly stiffer clutch spring to compensate.

I haven't actually tried this as I no longer have my Jammin engine, but I do know the JP4 is a good pipe for the engine.

JP4 works fine on my 21-5t, seems to have more top end than the Nova pipes and still retains good bottom end... this is all in the yard and out the front of my house, but definantly looking forward to race day Sunday....will let you know more then ...

cheers paul..

I don't think the JP-4 was made to be the latest and greatest of all the JP pipes. The JP-4 is a 3 chamber pipe designed for Europe, thats why it has an EFRA number on it. Just like the Novarossi 9901 pipe (dual on/off road pipe). You can only use a 3 Chamber pipe in Europe now, because they are quieter. Noise is big issue in Europe. I believe a large race coming up was just cancelled becaused of the noise issue with the town. It may have better power in one area and less in another IMO.

Well, I ran the JP4 with my RB928...oooooooohhh boy!! That pipe and engine combo works great!! I was listeing to the sound of the motor. It is a little but not much quieter. It does have a great sound. The performance was great!! I'm ordering another for my C6BB7T!! For motors that have a wild and high RPM range this is the pipe!

bottom line do you need a EFRA pipe?
if not don't bother.
Jammin only released it for europe.
they needed it to race over there
