I was there on Tuesday shooting some test video for this weekend. I asked around but didn't find any live coverage. All the mags will be there but that stuff won't be live. I made one vid from practice on Tuesday its in another thread. I'll be filming the mains on Saturday as well. I'll have those out the following week.

Hey Shiraz,

The South African guys are a lot of fun to hang with... really nice guys, and FAST! We're about 20m down from them in the pits. They came out and ran at Indy last weekend too... I'll tell them you said good luck.

I'm getting scoring but horrible audio and no image yet. I want to see if they turned on the rest of the lights. The video from the other day is way too dark and I had the camera wide open. The video is at this url http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=189832

I worked on it all day yesterday trying to get it to look better with no luck. Might end up going down to Houston for the Sedan Nats a day early. Haven't decided yet. Its almost 400 miles round trip from my house and if I'm only going to get crappy footage its hardly worth it. But we'll see when the video comes up on liverc. They only had 1/4 of the lights on Tuesday. Maybe now that they are actually racing they will turn them all on and it will be bright enough to get some decent video.

Mater I started juping the gun when i say CXarl sitting 9th overall but then i realised they just started the buggy round

I met your son at Indy when they were out there, and of course saw him at the big race. He's a nice young gentleman... a bit quieter than the rest of that group! Actually I think he did pretty well in the first couple of qualifyers, 3rd after the first 2 rounds if I remember correctly. Realize that he's running a different TYPE of track than he's used to, a different kind of dirt, under stressful conditions, and the track was absolutely BLOWN by the middle of the day. He may have had some trouble later in the day... but overall he held his own against some of the best there are.

That whole group of guys were fun to hang out with... nice folks!
