I wish these were available when I bought mine. IMO, nothing like coming home from work grabbing that beer, spending a couple easy hours just putting my motor and electronics in, getting to bed at a reasonable hour and hitting the track the next day, not worrying if I was too tired when I assembled this or that....
just my .02

When Losi started selling the 8ight as a race roller there were a few that proclaimed that Mugen would never sell a pre-build kit. How'r them feet tasting?

Yes indeed, I never thought I would see the day of a mugen "race roller". Hopefully it is just an option as I enjoy the build. I am interested to see the rest of the M-spec setup, the diff combo is very close to where I am at and that is the shock setup I run. At least I know I am on the right track.

This pre-built race roller is from Mugen Racing, the USA importer. Mugen Seiki Ltd. is not making pre-built rollers, as I haven't seen anything mentioned in Japan. Even the part number is not valid, unless it's a typo.
^^ That's even more interesting to me, I always thought the pre-builts were dependant on cheap labor to assemble. That also makes the setup that much more interesting, 450/400wt oils with even softer springs than we've been running?

i quite agree there,
most top racers or wannbe top racers/ club champions who bought losi 2.0 rebuilt the whole thing to look for faults and make changes to the set up.

The springs are .25 more coil then V2 kit springs. The setup is not far off from what I switched to recently. Front 9.75/450 stock piston- rear 10.75/400 6 hole piston. Using 2.2F/2.7R swaybar. Tried the V1 springs again, but it was too reactive and twitchy, even in muddy track with added weight build up.
just about every mugen i look at i find something thats built wronge. alot of people moving over from 1/10 electric, or some have never had a car with this many adjustments. great idea for some to have a mugen thats put together correct and know its them(us) that suck and not the car.lol
