Any flat 2/3A 5 cell NiMh works, Apogee makes a lipo with good capacity, price and shape but you still need a regulator if you're not running any of the few new hi-volt servos.

the new air filter housing just holds the filter a little tighter.

Huh.. Seems like it would've been easier to make the foams a little longer. I tried the PL foams, they work, the length is better but their diameter is not the same so there's void between the pre-filter and the main foam on the ends. I guess it could all possibly fit under the flange that holds the inner, didn't try that.

So now that the car has been out for a while ....what's everyone's best setup ????????? If anybody feels like posting them I would like to see how they differ from the stock one . We have a bunch of MBX6's out our way and everyone is doing something different . LOL . Maybe to suit everyone different styles of driving ? Is the stock sheet that comes in the updated kits still the best ?? Seems like I'm hearing guys running crazy diff setups 7/7/5, 10/5/2....stuff like that . Weird . Thanks for any info guys .

Yes, the mbx has some pretty unique diff combos but they all seem to be very good. I find I can make my car as tight or loose as I want it by changing the diff setups but no matter what I do the front is always the heaviest, thickest oil. The car seems to benefit from a heavier front diff oil. I am really liking 7-7-3 right now. Lots of steering both on and off power and the car is pretty hooked up. I dont really have a base setup as I am always trying something new. I like to know what everything on the car does.

Is there a site where it lists the updates of the MBX6? Was there 2 different version of the MBX6? I seemed like there was, when I was reading some stuff.

Yes go to www.mugenracing.com and search the offroad forums. Tony P. put a list of all the changes made to the buggy. They were nothing important, the one with probably the biggest benefit is the larger radio box. While it was not necessary it made things easier to work on.

Hey guys,

I have a diff question for those guys that can help me.

I want more steering, namely more turn in on and off power. I feel like i am waiting for the car in corners.

I am currently running 7/5/2

If i was to go to 5/5/3 would i get some more steering from the car by slowing the rear diff action and speeding up the front??

Thanks Fellas
Andrew

depends andrew,

u driving on astro or dirt. 5 5 3 is set up for dirt

it stlll drives well . i am no pro but for astro, a pro driver made me change to 10/7/3

and shumacher pins for tyres. it stuck to the ground!

i think its mainly because of the tyres

Hey mate,

Yes i am on dirt, and i have the right tires for my track.

I am gonna give 5/5/3 a shot, hopefully it will give me some more turn in.

Cheers
