mbx5t rearend drops while on power. help!!
 

just put my mbx5t together, stock, when on power rearend runs lower than the front(squats). seems to take some steering away. rear end seems soft with stock set up. any help would be great.

What oil and pistons are you running in the shocks ? And what is you peload on the rear shocks ? The rears bones should be level or close to it, we will run just slightly above level if we have good rear bite exiting the corners. we run 1.5 (black) pistons all the way around and 400 Mugen oil in all 4 most of the time.

And add more or thicker shim on the spring collar.

i'm running 400 all around with the 1.4 pistons, it seems soft, wouldn't it be softer with the 1.5's, i have been running bones level., i figured more preload would just raise ride hieght.

Drill the piston's out to 1.5mm, it will help a lot. I wouldn't worry too much if the back sqauts while accelerating, mine does, and Ford's does to, jsut the natural response from acceleration.

You could also play around with anti-sqaut vs. pro-squat and see how you like the way it affects handling. Pro-squat will not drop as much during acceleration but my not handle bumps as well.

Take some of the droop out of the front of the Truggy, I think the stock setup has too much, the front lifts too high on power and u lose steering i would not worry about the back.

You could try adding more anti-squat if youl like.
