Default Axe Rossi 3 screw carb setting

Does anybody know the basic setting for the 3 screw carb on the Axe Rossi Cobra? Axe doesn't give the actual turns from factory. Or is anyone is running one of these, do you know how many turns from bottom your running at on each screw. I need a good base setting to start off with on an already broken-in Cobra. Mine is giving us hell to set!

I think most engine is 2 and half turn out from full close. You mean thing engine been break in before? If yes, then rich up HSN and LSN a little and start from there. Set HSN then LSH then idle. Hope this help you.

Guys, if I am wrong please correct me. TQ

Got it running, but the needles are sensitive and mid screw is adjusted with the LSN. Got it going, but it will need more tuning to it. Axe instructions tell you to turn the needles out a 1/2 turn from stock setting set at the factory, but what that is is still to be told. Going to tear it down tonight and may install new piston & sleeve and start from scratch with the tuning.

I had the file at the track yesterday. We used it to get the engine running. If you read it, it tells you how to set the carb for break-in by turning out 1/2 turn on the main needle from factory setting. Only thing, they don't tell you factory settings on the needles. Thing is I'm getting ready to drop a new piston and sleeve and start break-in it in on this motor.

On a virgin motor HSN is one turn in from top of the tube, LSN is flush with the carb linkage, and the other side is 1/4 to 1/2 turn OUT from flush. Just looked at my spare.

Excellent! I'll set my carb up tomorrow. I just dropped a new piston & sleeve in earlier today, so I need to break it in. Thanks for the info. It would suck to have the needles all out of whack on a new break-in and have it stall out or run like crap while trying to adjust mixture and keep temps correct on engine.

Preheat the block to @ 200* F for break-in. These motors are very tight. Investing in an industrial heater is a plus for engine life. I borrow one from work that goes to 1100* to do break-ins, usually I preheat the block to 200* and my Mugen box still moans.

I always heat gun my engines. I have a Axe Rossi Mamba I just started to break-in last week. I have a dual heater temp adjustable heat gun for electrical butt connector repairs I use. Next engine may be a X1 or an X1 upgrade, if the parts come back in stock. What pipe are you running on your Rossi's? I have a Thunder tiger EFRA 2039 pipe with Axe Rossi header and a JP-3.
