Default hot bodies lightning thread

Since there is no thread for the hotbodies lightning I figured that I would make one. Just post pics, setup tips, and general info on here. For the lightning truggy or buggy, electric or nitro.

The LSP-R is a great truggy, you should be very happy with it.

Just in case anyone was wondering these are some parts to get as spares. Some of these are parts that I have broke too.

Front Hub Carriers: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2691
Clutch Springs: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2878
Ball Ends:http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2746
Rear Uprights:http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2688
Steering Ball Ends:http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2773
Shock Part Set:http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2764

Upgrades
Steering Ackerman Plate
Hot Bodies:http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/2736
King Headz:http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/3227
I run the King Headz Ackerman Plate which is much more expensive but you only need one. With the Hot Bodies Ackerman Plate you have to double or triple them up (stack 2 or 3 on top of each other) even if you double or triple them up they are still cheaper than the king headz plate.
17mm Hub Conversion
Only for the RTR trucks that use 14mm hubs, I believe the Pro-R runs 17mm stock.
HPI:http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/6620
These are a little better, but a little more expensive. You will need wheel nuts too.
HPI:http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/6360
These are not quite as good but they are much cheaper and you will not need to buy new wheel nuts.
The whole point in putting a 17mm conversion on is so that you can run truggy tires and wheels.

Well, a friend of mine decided he didn't want to finish building the pro-r. He sold it to me....never ran....for $200.00! My wife decided she's tired of running her Kyosho 777 and wants to run trugs. So it's actually going to her. With the amount of upgrades that I see that need to be done to it....I'm already thinking about the STR Conversion. I really hope the NEWER version has all the upgrades needed to make it a more durable ride.

Yes, the STR conversion is very cool!
The LSP's are very good cars after some upgrades.
Here is a link to an str conversion on truggyracers:
http://www.truggyracers.com/forum/in...pic=15395&st=0
are you talking about this conversion or just the STR arm conversion?
