I run Losi big bores on mine. I am actaully running rear Losi shocks on the front and the rear. And on the rear I dremeled a graphite block to get the needed amount of suspension travel. The car was an 8 with the standard shocks but now is a perfect 10 with the big bores.

I also took off the upper a-arm configuration and make it an upper camber link configuration with 4 hole in the tower for adjustments.

If anyone is looking for a truck to use for parts.
I have a HotBodies Lightning ST-Pro that was never
ran. It never even had a motor bolted on it. I used all
of the diff gears for my CRT-PJX biuld. Alot of the truck
is still in bags. The 7075 chassis, bulkheads, shocktowers
aluminum arms and just about all the rest of the truck is
setting here gathering dust. I'll let it go cheap to help
someone keep theres going. Or use your parts to finish
this new one. PM me if your interested.

Well I tried the stock Losi 8 front shocks and felt as if there wasn't enough travel if I wanted to use some of the extreme shock mounting adjustments. The car also handled high bite blue tracks much better with the rears on the front.

Also note, that if you use Losi big bores you can use the stock evo shock mounts just make sure you put plastic caps on the shocks. The shock will pop right on to the mount. However, make sure you open the hole a little bit on the cap because they are usually not opened enough to properly bleed the shocks.

Does hot bodies sell a linkage kit for the LSP-R? I couldn't find one on amainhobbies. My buddy told me to use the dynamite pro linkage. Will it work? Here is a link to it. http://www.dynamiterc.com/Products/D...ProdID=DYN2568

I'm going to a big race in Ohio on May 16-18 and I am trying to get everything ready. Also, what is the best shock oil for the LSP Pro-R? On another forum I heard 35wt in the front and 40wt in the rear. Right now I have 35wt all around and red springs all around and it seems too soft.

Yes the dynamite linkages should work fine. I actually really like that particular linkage setup.

As far as setup, 35wt will work depending on pistons. 35wt and maybe a 1.4 piston would keep the truck from feeling too soft.

There are so many possibilities for oil and piston combinations that would work.

Go to the xray website and look up their original XB8 instruction manual and pages 36-44 has an amazing tuners guide. Print it out and keep it with you at all times. It should really help. Its a little difficult to tell you what to run without knowing your track conditions. Good luck

Marcus

PM me if you are still having troubles and questions.

Thanks for the help.

Where do they sell the 1.4mm drill bits? Can I get them at Lowe's?

Hey crazy4wdracer, your new LSP-R is on it's way to you.
I couldn't stand to see a brand new truggie collecting dust.
I think you are going to like what you see when you open
the box. Also, this truggie should only be worked on after
your school work is done.(Inside joke, I talked to your dad).
Ha!Ha!Ha!(I know, that ain't funny)

on neobuggy there are pictures of a prototype truggy from silverstate.

the front end looks very... Losi.

so will the new buggy be a losi-esque car also?

I would bet that 75% or more of all the new cars are going to look "Losi". I think many people will agree with the fact that Losi set the bar with their new design. At the moment, the Jammin, Kyosho, and HB all look similar, but they each have their own characteristics, which I'm sure all the of the new cars will aswell.
