i just bought a helios with spectrum, so it looks like its gonna be 1 to 2 years before i make a change...

It is a very nice transmitter but i think the price is a little high.

i've got the 3pm fasst. but, if the 4pk comes to be like 350 bucks or so i might get it. it's a big might.

does the 4pk have an adjustable steering wheel adaptor like the 3pk? just wondering i know that where i race alot of the people w/ the 3pk like the drop down steering wheel.

its better has a tilt function like the EX-10

Features
- Much consideration went into the design of the 4PK’s grip, which is slightly thicker to accommodate larger hands. Besides being lighter, the transmitter’s weight is well balanced for added comfort.
- Achieve perfect “feel” in seconds with the Advanced Positioning Adapter. You can drop the wheel down, move it left or right, even change the angle – a feature many drivers have requested.
- The trigger position can also be shifted by as much as 7 mm. This allows you to customize the radio for sharper response based on finger size.
- The redesigned keypad features a large 4-direction jog button for quick access and scrolling. Important functions can be assigned to buttons on the wheel housing to keep them within easy reach.
- Not only is the backlit LCD screen large enough for easy reading without eye strain, it’s also angled for instant viewing without having to tilt the transmitter.
- Because the 4PK was engineered from the beginning for 2.4GHz modulation, there’s no long, unwieldy antenna. Instead, the antenna is shorter and lighter in weight, folds down for easy storage, and pivots for optimum reception.
- No NiCd battery here – the 4PK comes with an 1700mAh NiMH pack that’s comparable in size, but with almost twice the capacity. That means about TWO HOURS of operation on a single charge – enough for the longest of mains and maybe even an entire weekend of racing!

I agree. I just have the plain 'ole 3PM, but the 4PK is going to have to hit somewhere around $325~350 for me to purchase it.

Radios should evolve like Personal Computers. Performance and Features go up, while the prices come down...

That's how I see it.

I'm a Futaba man, but there are features that I'd really like to see on this to give it a longer product lifespan, such as software 'modularity' (If there's such a word). Nomadio has pushed the industry much closer to a 'software' driven radio, as opposed to a hardware driven design. Military and some civilian radios are pretty much software driven designs. Nomadio has been building military radios for a while, and so they had some expertise in this area when they persued development of a Hobby radio system. They are showing a lot of promise.

Some of the Telemetry features will probably be 'must have' items on future systems. I'm kinda surprised that they aren't already, to tell the truth.

Almost every other type of racing has some proven telemetry systems out for consumption. RC should've been ripe for this years ago, given that you're allowed to have Rx/Tx to and from the vehicle due to the nature of the sport...

It'll happen. I'm just impatient...
