How is the RC8 doing at the track?

With the RC8 being out for a few weeks now, could we get some feedback as to how this impressive looking buggy is fairing at the track and against the popular Losi 8.

I know the worlds warm up is this week, that should provide some good insight...but how is it doing at your local track?

Thanks!

They seem to be going fairly well in blighty as well, god knows they will have a tough time over here with the inconsistent weather and hard tracks. Have heard of a few breaking mainly the hinge pin plate and the top arm. But overall people that own them rate them very highly

I got to drive my friends rc8 and I like it alot. It rotates, accelerates well and has all the steering you could want. He has had a few issues with it but overall its working out well.

RC8

What kind of issues?

Kraig Krueger 10-21-2007 06:25 PM

I've heard that the main issue was that it is too fast! It is hard to keep your eyes on it.:ha:

I am with Losi all the way, but man the Rc8 looks dialed, there were about 6 or 7 of them in the A-main of Expert Buggy here in Vegas last night. If there was any company i would switch over to it would be Associated. The car looks gooooood.

I've got just about a half gallon through mine without any problems. Been a great driving buggy. Just taking it out of the box and running it at our "secret" test facility I was lapping 1.5 to 2.0 seconds a lap better than I previously had... We use an AMB transponder system so I know my times were recorded accurately.

Its also an easy and forgiving ride, unlike the 8ight I had awhile back. The RC8 also turns extremely well either on or off power. Just a great handling buggy!

Any solutions on the hinge pins or CVD's?

We have a lot of 8ights at my track and one with a RC8 showed up yesterday . The buggy seems to be pretty smooth and it made it all day without any problems .
