There are alot of choices, yes. Which can be confusing choosing a buggy but flooded? Nah, there just a market that manufacturers are trying to fill.

Ask me i think 1/8th buggy is VERY popular.
I raced 1/8th buggy(mugen) for 3 year's but just stopped bcz money is a little tight now.
At our track the most poular is 1/8th buggy,1/8th truggy and electric offroad and it keep's growing.

I think this is a good thing. It helps keep the cost down as well as quality up, due to competiton from other manufactures. Plus its always nice to have options.

Look at it this way, if there are more companies competing, they will try to advertise more, and hopefully get more people into the sport.

Also note the the basic economic rule of Supply and Demand. The more supply drive the cost down. Lower cost enables more people to get into the sport. 1/8th scale offroad is expensive and many people can not afford it. So, this is a good thing for many people. Just my $.02....

Certainly not flooded. How many of those brands do you see in one place at one time? There might be 30 something brands out there, but not every worldwide market is going to have every car.

Sure it's flooded, but thats good for the consumer. I'm looking to pick up either a buggy or a truggy and I hope a few more get released and drive the top level buggy prices down more!

Default 1/8th scale buggy market

hey all:Thanks for the replies they were helpfull.Hey turbine_au i agree totally with your statement and your right some brands are only avalible regionaly or nationally and not all over the world. Also most hobby shops can't afford to stock them all because how could you promote and sell every brand.P.S. I think some brands of 1/8th buggies might be realy good, but get lost in the shuffle because people want to buy brands they've either heard of or have the most readily avallible spare and hop-up parts.Just my thoughts and thanks again
