Questions?? Diff. OiL ?????

Does any body know a good set-up for diff.oil weight to use on a track that isnt bumpy but not straight blue groove, its packed with top soil, im racing at THE DIRT on the 21st and just wanted to try something new.Im running a MUGEN PROSPEC WITH A P-5 MOD.Its WICKED!!!!!!!!!

I would try 5-7-2

a track like that i would maybe even try 7-7-1...

what does changeing the oil in front from 5 to 7 do?

affects the steering . I agree with 5-7-2 and IMO going 7 in the front doesn`t work well except in heavier buggies .

I just switched mine I went 7-5-1 on my VTX B-1 with a losi 427 and I could tell the differancefrom what was in their before the car seems much easyier to drive

best way i can explain it is the heavier the oil the more it slows down the diff action. two people on the same track even with the same car might not like the same diff oils. alot of guys at my track run 5-7-3 and it totally feels wrong to me lol. they are more aggressive driving wise where i like 5-5-2

he is running a heavier buggy...im running 7-7-1 in my mugen and it works very well, but it did not in my Jammin X1CR that buggy seemed to like the 5-7-2 better...

So would heavier in the front be the same effect as a spool? Or give more push in the apex?

It also has a lot to do with driver`s driving style .

yes this can make the car push a bit more, but depending on your driving style thats not always a bad thing...

the heavier buggy's are close to 8lbs and the lighter ones are a lil over 7lbs...
