i find aka to be about the best for balance

in ik blue tack is very popular for balancing its putty for sticking up posters and xmas cards ect reuseable

the green dot is as said the compound but does give a good ref for rim rotation which is what i think he was on about lol

bofore i balance i stick the wheel glued on balancer and use my air line to spin the wheel round goes quicker than on the trug and allows tyre /insert to seat without getting it dirty.. wish would go that fast on my mugen lol

does anyone on here tape the inside of the tyre to stop deforming acting blike a brace to stop the piza cutter action i tried many times but tape comes off in places

the aka rubber seems to be getting popular in the uk now and proline taking a bit of a back seat

Modeling clay is all i use no CA.

I've used lead tape in the past and am starting to like the clay better for certain application's....1/2" off tires still require the tape however.

This is something I've never really considered in offroad racing. Guess I'll have to pick up a balancer.

just bought the losi balancer and balanced tires for the first time for motorama and i must say it makes a difference. i just used the included putty and never had it comes loose. i balacned like 8 sets of tires mostly aka and a set of proline and the proline took almost double the putty that the aka's took.

Yeah...the Losi Balancer is very nice and precise. I traded my Du-Bro for the Losi, and the Du-Bro is about as precise as you can get! the Losi is comparable and much easier to use and store.

Nothing will touch the Dubro for accuracy...its just not possible..the bearing style like the losi/Hudy/Dynamite cant possible be as accurate due to the design....easy or not i prefer precision over ease of use.
