Looking for inexpensive but good .21 engine
I'm looking for a good .21 engine for club race days. I run O.S. V-Specs in my buggy, but would like to save some money by running a less expensive engine for club races and save the V-Specs for the big races.
I'm looking for a .21 thats reliable, plenty of torque and top-end. I'm looking to keep the price 200.00 and under...
I see some engines out there for this price, but don't want to have to go through several different brands to find a good one. I'll listen to your experience....
What have you found?

Just thinking the same thing last night my son and I were looking at the Thunder Tiger. I'm new to 1/8th scale motors.
I don't want to spend more than 150.00. I've heard the RB motors are good, around 190.00.
Were running the V-Spec as well and would like to save it for the more important races. Heres the list of motors and prices we were looking at.

RB S3
Sportwerks 21 v2
Werks B3
Go Tech 5port
Novarossi BF 3port
These are all good engines and they are 200 or less.

just get another V-spec then youll have an engine which have parts that are interchangeable and u allready know how to tune it plus they only $220-$250 dependering on were u get it from
but if u want another brand either Werks B3 Pro
or a Go Tech 5 or 7P and should feel the same as your V-spec

Well for $229.00 you can buy the Picco P7 EVO 2....though It may be too much motor for alot of people, but if your looking for a really fast .21 the EVO 2 is pretty killer..... For $229 its actualy a very good deal, as the motor includes both a standard and turbo head button, and 3 different sized carb venturi's....... Adam from AB Mods is currently about to dyno test a EVO 2 on the X-dyno, but from my own experience its going to be one of the most powerful .21's tested.... The motor flat out screams, it also has awesome bottom end.... i actualy think the motor may be too strong to be used in buggy, as its borderline uncontrolable in truggy...To keep ther motor useable inmy truggy i had to de-tune it with the standard button and 7 mm venturi.... with the 9 mm venturi and turbo button the motor was flat out the fastest nitro engine i have ever run...... My mill was modified, but even the stocker is insanely strong...

I've got to say the Go Tech 5 or 7 port. You may not put your V-Spec back in however...
