Ok the G3.0 engine is a .18 cu in engine. Which means that the firestorm is ment for small block applications. A small block is anything under .21 cu in, and a big block is a .21 and larger, so I would stick with anything under a .21 if I were you, hope this helps.

just put a OS 18TZ in there and hold on, cause its gonna be faster than you can handle....there is no need for a BB engine in this class of truck...

thanx guys, for the info. If it helps my plans were to make a crazy fast nitro truck that i can slap some sand paddles on. So a OS18 would be a crap load of power?

why do you want to upgrade? the firestorm is no way underpowered stock.

Your right. The firestorm is by no means underpowered. But I had on oppertunity to get a axial for cheep, and wanted to know if it would fit. I do want to put a upgraded motor in it . It will see a lot of sand. and some dirt.

its not underpowered but the 18 TZ will blow every other stock firestorm away, and yeah slide carb is better than rotory

i guess so. you may need abit more weight on the front or higher gearing to help with the immense amounts of power. i would say the highest clutch bell known to man?

you can make that Axial 32 fit, but it would take some serious machine work
