modding is way overrated, and not really needed, especially on a quality mill such as an v-spec....save your money, JM.02

A guy at my local track had one,not much of an advantage over a stock motor.

I thought the biggest advantage of EB mod over stock was the ceramic bearings. Are the 2007 production vpsec rear bearing bulletproof?

Default re

its a great mill in my opinion.mine is the none modded one.and i agree with the modding not being necessary.i broke mine in exactly how the directions said.some will say that isn't the best way but i bet OS has been in it alot longer than they have had there break in technique

EB Mods is smoother than a stock V-Spec. The mileage should be a little better and top end maybe a hair more. The biggest difference is the smoothness, not that the stock V-Spec is bad, but the EB Mods is smoother.

Modding a motor isn't necessarily about making more horsepower. Its about making that hp more usable. Smooth means fast. Spinning your tires does you no good...

Anyways, I've got a couple of the EB Modded V-specs. I think they are great. Definitely smoother coming out of slower corners. Reduces wheelspin. Still plenty of top-end.....

ive had both the stock and the eb, and the eb was ultra smooth up to the stock...the eb was alot easier to drive mostly at the end of long mains when fatigue is a issue...i found that the power on the top was more usable with the eb...as far as break in i used the same heat cycling method that os suggested for both, starting was easy and so was the tuning...the only problem i had with either of these engines was life, only got around 2.5 gallons out of both...

oh and i used JP3, and os 2050 pipes on both...i had more top end power with the JP, but better run times with the 2050, around 7.5 to 8 minutes at 240 to 250F...

You do know that EB Mods closed there shop down a month ago.
No more EB Mods motors will be produced.Don't even think about
sending any repairs or rebiulds to them. They are history.
