One thing with carbon fiber, yeah you can dent a metal pipe with the carbon pipe, BUT, the metal pipe will still work. When the carbon pipe meets a pipe or board on my local track, it will either brush it off or crack. Once cracked, its trashed. The metal pipe can sometimes be straighten a bit, but a leaky carbon pipe is down the trash can from their on. I know carbon fiber and not from RC cars, but from $100K+ real cars, like Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo & Audi's etc's!! Don't get me wrong, carbon is awesome, but its life span is limited!

I love the way it sounds! However, mine is cracked where the aluminium coupling mount is at. This started at the third tank, and this pic was taken and report sent after the 8th tank...... I've sent an email to vantage racing to see if I can claim for a new pipe......*cross fingers*

+1

I've worrked in the aero industry for 6 years and i've seen what happens to carbon fibre on sharp impacts..... i think i'll stick with alloy for the durability.
