How to make Buggy/Truggy jump farther and higher?
Both my rides don`t jump as high or as far as needed to make the triple at my local track. Can setup help with this problem?? What are your opinions about this?

Stiffen the suspension a bit, go up a weight or two on your shocks or put on a heavier spring. 'Course, that's gonna change how it handles on the rest of the track.
Also could be you're not hitting the jump with enough speed, not much you can do if the truck doesn't have the motor and/or you don't get it squared up enough coming out of the previous corner.

I've found that going to a stiffer, and lower setup helps you clear the big jumps, but doesnt take away from the handling on the rest of the track.

Tires with better traction, a longer/smoother approach, and a motor/pipe/clutch set up with more low end snap will help more than anything else

More antisquat will cause the car to jump higher, or not as flat.

I would check in the clutch are you running alumn. clutch shoes, that will give you more snap. Also you might want to bump the center diff up a little to get more snap. If you just need more pop to clear the jumps you may want to try stiffer springs with smaller pistons.

Try slightly heavier oil in the front, and experiment with different spring combinations IE; med spring in front light in the rear.

Rig up some model rocket 'booster' engines...

or a nitro boost! if its electric add a pile of li-ion button cells for a 5 second boost at 24 volts

Remember, the longer your wheels are off the ground, the less foward motion you will have. Unless your on a track with some insane trips, then I would look at clutches or maybe some 50% NITRO

Remember, the longer you are off the ground, the more 'cool' or 'style' points you will be rewarded by the judges. It is unclear if this will help you obtain TQ or a podium in the mains, though!
Lithium is cool and all, but I still say that model rocket motors ignited by a third channel controled mod, will gain you the most 'style' points from the judges and/or crowd! As long as you don't maim someone, of course!

i think it would be very likely the car would take off and go through the driver stand! and theres nothing to stop you buying a gallon of nitromethane and putting that in your fuel. extra horsepower

Thanks for the input guys,
It is really a tough section of the track. It is a triple double with a short launch.I have a CRT tank and a Hyper 8 and both seem to have the problem. The CRT probably does not have enough motor but I make it every once in awhile with the Hyper 8.It seems that the local Losi guys almost always can make it even without a perfect line into it.I will probably just have to suck it up and do it double, double, single for goodBut this method is slower through that section!
