We had a great time Saturday. Kyle really liked the track. We haven't been to the track since the Silver State and WOW...what a difference!!! Toby, Kazz, Jason and Kenny (if I left someone out, I'm sorry) are doing a great job.

I would also like to add a special thanks to Jason Ashton and King Richard Saxton for taking the time to do the track walk with all of us. I know Kyle and I learned a lot and enjoyed the 15 minutes we spent with these national caliber drivers. From what I heard next month's "clinic" will be on tire/insert choice. Don't miss that one.

It was nice to see all of our Vegas racing buddies. We travel so much so Kyle can race 1/10th electric that we don't get to race in our own backyard as much as we would like. See you next month.

We should be having roughly around 125 to 150 tons of dirt hauled in next week, and a track re-build that weekend. So look for some elevation changes for the next race.

Here is a very professional video that was put together by Dirt Works Films of the race at Silver State Raceway last weekend.

You need Quicktime to view it. It took a while to load for me, so be patient. Or you might have better luck right clicking the link and saving it to your computer.

Yeah, that video is great. Just to be clear I didnít have any part in making it though. I just wanted to make sure everyone got a chance to see it.

I should be out next time. Iím looking forward to seeing what those RC8ís can do. So far they look really really good.

Also, so everyone knows the track will be open for a practice / fun day tomorrow 9/22/07. Here is the whole schedule that was posted on s-grid.

Not sure what time it 'officially' opens, but I know most people show up mid-morning, like around 10:00. You could call the number in that post if you need to know for sure.

So it was rumored that there might be practice this weekend on Sat. (despite the schedule saying next practice day was on the 6th of Oct.)

I went out today to see if they had completed the dirtwork on the track (new dirt, something like 200 tons of it).

Well the dirt is in, but in several fifteen foot piles on the track, and save for twenty people working it tonight in the middle of the night, I doubt that it will be open this weekend.

On the flipside, it is a lot of new dirt, and it looks to be the right consistency. The track will likely have a nice flowing layout with fewer of the boxy corners we have seen (more like other national caliber race parks). It is rumored that there might be a bit of elevation change as well, but we will see on that. Cant wait to see the new layout and race on the new track, hope those guys have it all completed soon. I am buying my ROAR membership tomorrow to be ready.

To the team managing the BC track, please keep up the good work.

Hey Dallas - I got your message last weekend. Sorry I didn't call you back. My 1:1 car broke down and I spent the day putting a new water pump in it. Trust me I would have much rather been at the track. Let me know next time you guys head out and I'll be there for sure.

Anyone heading to the South Point this weekend to watch the carpet guys? I'm planning on checking it out tomorrow.
