I believe the Traxxas line of engines (.15, TRX 2.5, 2.5R, & 3.3) are produced by O.S. as well. HPI had a .21 onroad engine that was made by NovaRossi, but it was a small production run.

I have been on the RB forum website with a few issues and was told that same thing that RB and Nova are similar. Each own company designs their engine, but not too sure about Nova making RB's motors.

Also, I don't know who makes them, but the carbs they use, they are the same between the similar motor types.

RB motors are manufactured by Novarossi to RB design specs.

Ofna Red Dot, P7-r, Trinity Drakes and LRP are Picco motors

Os is a Stand alone but they make the engine for Duratrax

Associated motors are Thunder Tiger

Rex, Top are Novarossi's

Don't know about Werks

Corrections are welcome

Trust me, Traxxas engines are NOT made by OS. Just because they are the same color does not mean they are the same manufacturer... Its easy to duplicate colors of anodizing.

LRP is actually SH Engines or Golden Lion Co.

Werks is made by Star Engines (Sirio) to Werks' specs.

not a chance on traxxxxasss being made by os, it they were those TRX motors WOULD BE USEFULL. but i will admit they run a fugg of alot better once you trash the POS Carb on them, and install the OS 11 carbs.

as far as the blue anodizing goes. give me any motor cooling head you wish, i lll make it look like the OS Blue. all i need is the right dye.

I always thought Traxxas engines were made by Sirio, they made a piston rod crank combo for the 2.5R for a bit. Trinity offered a turbo plug head/button combo when they were Sirio importers and I heard once that a sirio .18 sleeve, would slide in and line up with a 2.5 block. I'm not sure about the last statement, thats what i heard. Never had a Sirio, so can't make comparisons. Anyone looked at a Ofna Hyper .21 8 port? I got one and a STS .30 and they look similar on the outside, even the backplate and exhaust ports appear the same. i'll dig a little and find out

They appear to be similar in design and POSSIBLY made by the same manufacturer. But i noticed something, both (.30 and .21) seem to have the same stroke. Is it possible that all big motors get the Cu. in. from strictly bore alone?
