It seems like a lot of people are running the 3PKS now. I personally don't like the feel of the steering wheel on it, its just so wierd compared to my Helios C2. The angled wheel is awesome, although one person I've seen had a adaptor plate built for the 3PKS to angle the wheel.

Hey Brad, that's the one thing missing from my 3PKS. Was it a custom piece or can you buy them?

Scott- Talk to Buddha I'm pretty sure it was on his radio. I believe it was custom made, probably by Kevin Thompson.

my heart was so biased that i went straight to m11 and am very happy with it. so m11 + 1
i did feel the difference in balance between 3pk and m11, the futaba having the better balance between the 2. but i with a sling to carry the weight and reset the balance, its money well spent.

I use a Spec DX3 for a Ele Buggy and Gas Truck

My brother uses a DX3R for a 1/8 buggy, he said its about half the weight of a DX3.

My brother had M8 which he called the "brick" cause that is what it felt like to him!!!

FASST may not be around long! Heard that there are some copyright problems (Spec has the copyrights on a lot of the 2.4 spec's)! Just what I heard.

That would be like saying Fort has the patent on a motor vehicle. Or Coke claiming that Pepsi shouldn't be around. It' something a little different from a different company.

Are you sure that you don't mean Patents? Copyrights and Patents are two different things.

Also, none of the RC radio companies 'invented' Digital Spread Spectrum technology... I doubt they are infringing on any patents, but what do I know!

I am terribly mistaken. Eitherway, copyright's or patenets, it will never fly in court.

i gaurentee they didnt. 2.4 Technology was introduced back in the mid 90s by cell phone industry i think, and it was then adapted to data communications.

ie large data transmission companyies. like verizon, AT&T ect.

then it found its way into the network industry, and is used from everything from your wireless router that attatches to your HS Modem and laptop/desktop wireless cards, to LARGE wireless pipelines.

My last job was with a Wireless High Speed ISP. 2.4 Technologies is what we used to back haul our towers ( creat a communitcation line between the tower wirelessly) though its been around for 10yrs now, its still a very young technology) and only in the last 2 or 3 yrs has the R/C industry adapted the technology for our use.
we also use the 2.4 Tech to carry data on Microwave transmissions to and from the customers.

if theres a patent/lawsuit, its due to the way the items were made, or something to do with the radio itself. not the 2.4 technology it uses.

now its in almost every large store. been to a lowes lately? see the wireless scanners they use to scan items? its all ran on the 2.4Mhz frequency.
