Default Fuel gun vs Bottle?

I recently had a situation where I needed to have a non team member refuel me during a race. I don't think he fully filled the tank with my fuel bottle. I ran out of fuel and it cost me 2 positions.

Does a fuel gun better insure a full refill than a bottle? If so, which gun is best?

I have always wondered about this as well.

I also wondered if there was a holster for them to make them easier to handle when you pit.

does the fuel gun only refuel one tank or can you knock out two or three tanks w/ out filling it again???

I think most guns hold 2 tanks......but I ALWAYS make sure and top the gun off before a pit just to be sure. And yes, the RB gun does have a pouch that comes with it that will go on your belt.

Well I have used the Losi gun and it holds 150cc of fuel and that is enough for any race legat tank but it is very easy to refil, it has a lid just like the lid on a fuel tank and you pull that up and refill it with a fuel bottle before you refill the car, it is very easy to do and fuels the car so fast and works so well, they are very nice items to have.

150ml is not enough for my team mate to take care of me at 7:30 and then our other team mate at 7:45. We use the same fuel to avoid confusion and I hope we can can use a gun and refill fast enough to take care of both of us. Thanks for the input guys!

Sounds like you may need a couple of guns. You can make some holders from PVC so they stay vertical to avoid fuel spilling out the vent tubes.

You will have no problem pitting for more than one driver with a fuel gun. 150ml is enough. It takes VERY little time to refill the fuel gun. Most hold 150ml anyway.

yea takes about as much time to fill your fuel gun as it does to fill you car with your bottle

the guns are nice because you just pull the trigger and when the fuel stops its full. also the fuel gun nozzle will hold pressure in your tank just like the lid was closed.

^^^Once you open the fuel tank the pressure equalizes with the outside world....
Also, filling with a fuel gun is quite a bit faster as it does not foam up, create bubbles and spill everywhere. Either way, a good pit man is a must!

I think it all depends on your pit man. A fast pit guy with a bottle can be just as good as a pit man with a gun. I just think it is easier to hold the gun, and aim, especially if your catching and fueling by yourself.

I picked up a Losi one, haven't used it yet.
