Ok, so my engine quit running. I recived orders to Korea. Forgot to empty gas tank, engine, carb etc. I want to get my XTM .18 Xcellarator running again! Arizona is a real fun place to have a offroad rc car! I am not sure why it quit running in the first place, i replaced the glow plugs, cleaned out the filter after about every 3 to 4 hard runs. Also ran fairly rich. On to leaving it sit for a year... ouch. its really guie in there, what can i use to clean everything out! I took the engine apart and here are some pictures of the piston, head, and carb inlet. If anyone in the arizona area would like to get together and school me on cleaning/rebuilds im in the surprise area. bring yoru ride and we can go out after i hope!

take apart the engine and clean it out with either break clean/engine spray, or you can use nitro fuel....

Any info on how to tune the engine? I cant really think of what i turned but after it stopped running i tihnk i tinkered with some screws. is there a specific setting that comes with the xtm xcellerator .18 engine

dayemmm.... looks like your main bearing cracked, look.. what it has done to your piston and head.. or did you ran it without air filter?

it came off for a bit on a dirt track after a crash. so is the engine pretty much shot i take it? Or is there hope?
