they are very very hard..... like 3 or 4 times harder then crime xtr's......or harder.... they are not good as a race tire.....unless you need something that hard..... i use them as a test and tune tire.... or when I need to get some time on a motor or a track and dont care about speed or lap times.....

I bought a set of faux Badlands. Ended up breaking a rim, but I was testing my brushless xb8 in the middle of winter too. Too much power+traction+30f degrees.

For practice, it's a better alternative to spending $70 on a real set.

if you mean the ones that come with black dish/spoke rims, they are very hard but still provide enough traction for practice days, and last longer.
don't buy the spoke version because the rims brakes, the dish are fine (and slightly softer for some reason).

I resold mine on ebay. On the track it was like I was driving on ice. So even practicing with them sucked.

I bought a set.I used a hair dryer to heat the tire up and then would put turpentine on the tire.
They softened up it just took a lil work.

I raced the Pro-Grip Cheetahs yesterday at the Wis. Pro series and they are great. $22.99 for a full set of tires/foams/rims!!!!! They are a Pro-Line Gator/Crime knock off in an XTR-like compound. The track was hard packed with almost no dust. I find myself using these tires a lot in the last Q and the main. For the price there's no reason they shouldn't be in your arsenal so you can actually have fresh rubber.

For $6 more you can get them in retail packaging if you like.
