Default werks clutch spring

what will be the difference between the springs assuming that you tune the clutch to engage at same rpm (but different spring)?

I think that if you tighten the spring to get a later engagement, there will be a point that the nut is too far in and the front plate can not move forward far enough to let the shoes touch the clutchbell. In this case you will move to a harder spring to get the same engagement without the adjustment nut being too far in. Hope that made sense.

as g26 said, it all comes done to the feel you want from your clutch. this is also affected by the type of shoes you choose, and if you mix them up to get even more feels from the clutch. if you find your self tightening the clutch nut in alot then yes go to a heavier spring. but this same feel can also be affected by your diffs and the fluids you use in them. then again also your gearing will affect feel too. along with motor tuning and pipe you choose for your motor.

what car and motor and pipe are you running?

i'm running 8ight with go 7p / v-spec. accually the cluth start to tighten itself and slip latly and i think the gold spring became weak, maybe because i did tighten it more than it should be.
