Default EB Mod V-Spec VS .28 Ninja VS O.S .28

All,

I have a regular V-Spec and a EB Mod V-Spec and am now thinking of getting a .28 engine. Can any one tell me what they have found to run better in a MBX5T? I had my EB Mod w/ a JP-1 pipe in a 8T and it was awesome. Please help!

I don't have a .28 (yet), but do have the Ninja .21 in my TeamVTX buggy and this thing rips! When you think the engine has reached its max, it's keep revving higher! Very fast motor and linked to the right exhaust, there are not many motors that will beat it, if any. I am thinking about getting a truggy and it will definitely have a Ninja .28 in it!

I have ran vspec for the last 2 years. go with the ebmods 21 Vspec. Mount that up with a OS2050 or the OS2060 and you wont be disappointed. I ran a EBMODS in my heavy jammin crt till I got my OS speed.
Had no problem keeping up with the lighter truggies like yours.
The 28's will be more than enough also I have no experience with either of the 28's you are talking about. but both are good manufactures.

Go tech .28 should not be overlooked Either, i heard they have serious balls.
LRP .28 are pretty good value as well but come on very strong mid range in the revs making the a bit more dicey to drive.

I've run a stock V-Spec/Jp-3, an Ebmod/JP-3, an Os speed .21/2050, a Ninja B01a/053 and a MaxM8T in a MBX5T Propec. My favorite and what I settled on was the OS speed/2050. With the speed/2050 I raced against another guy with a 5T running a ninja .28. Sure he's got more bottom end but I have more top-end and more rpm's than him. I can do 10 minutes with a speed and he only gets 7 minutes tops. My 5t is setup better than his so I can put the power down better so I get the jump on him every time in/out of turns and down the straights. The track surface we run on won't let you put down the bottom end of a .28 so it's wasted. Around here smoothness gets faster times than brute force. I would go for a Ebmod hands down. It's always good to try different things I've never run a .28 in the 5t and for next season I'll probably get the ninja or OS .28 since I've had so many .21s.

Oh yah, there's another guy running a stock V-Spec. He's super smooth and doesn't take risks and has beat me everytime this year.
