Default Truggy wont Idle Without Ignitor On

Hey guys just got a crt.5, with the picco 7 port, Iran it a few times and the thing kept dieing randomly, the glow plug then died so i attributed the problems to the glow plug, i just replaced the glow plug and the truggy drove fine for a few minutes and then died, ever since i cant get the ctruggy to idle without the ignitor in, if i give the truggy some gas it will idle and rev properly however if i give it 3/4 to full throttle it ides again, any ideas???

It sounds like it's running too rich and flooding out. Lean the high speed needle. Watch the temps with a temp gun.

pull your glow plug out and put it on the ignitor to see if it works properly, sometimes the top coil doesn't light up, and causes it to only fire when the ignitor is attached. Then try a new plug, if that doesn't help, then it's a tuning issue. make sure your idle screw is in enough so their is a 1mm gap when the carb is closed. then tune the engine based on that. your gap might be too big!

I had the same problem a few weeks ago with my buggy. Come to find out the glow plug was bad. I put a new one in and it was fine. Good luck!

Alright, so i'v pretty, much had enough of this thing, the clutch seems fine, i tried running the motor without anything on it and it still dies, i must have gotten a couple of defective glow plugs... any other idea? I replaced my fuel lines and tried running it off another fuel tank, i cleaned the esxaust pipe and made sure nothings blocking it.... its gotta be the plugs eh? Is it possible the plugs the guy sold me are too cold? He said they are hot plugs but i have no idea at this point... help! lol

Give the motor once over... make sure all screws are tight.

Not sure of your RC knowledge level, but are you sure you should be running Turbo Plugs? You need a turbo under head in order to run turbo plugs.

Try the P3. Eversince I switched to that plug my motors can idle forever. By the way Racers edge plugs stink. I have used atleast 7 or 8 and not onehas lasted more than a few tanks. I still have like 5 and just give them away at the track when people need them.
