1/10 Fuel

I was wondering what % of Nitro/Oil people are using in their 1/10 Nitro cars. Any particular brand etc. etc.

Thanks

I wouldn't run anything over 20% in my gas truck. Any major brands that your LHS carries will work. Sidewinder, Byron's, Werks, O'Donnells....etc

i dont know about off road... but onroad use 30% Maxy's fuel.:tire:

If you got to 30% from 20% what mods do you need to make a .12 run right???

Changing nitro precentage, brands, or oil content, you will just have to retune your motor.

i run the Byrons 33% rtr in my jato. a bit better throttle response over the 20%, had to richen about 3/4 turn on the high speed. got to make sure you oil content is good for the engine though, i run 16% oil in the traxxas, and 11% in the .28 on my truggy, @ 20% nitro.

20% is plenty for nitro trucks. They have so much power already, the extra punch from 30% is just not needed. Plus you will also lose a little run time from the richer settings. If you insist on running 30% usually a colder plug or extra head shim will be required to keep it from detonating.

I'm running 25% Tornado. It has 25% nitro, 9% oil and other fixins! Plenty of power.
Off road, 25% Tornado off road blend 25% nitro and 11% oil. Good stuff!

I ran Byrons 30% for years......I have since changed to TQ Fuel and it is excellent fuel. I run their 30% race blend in my Radical 621T and my Radical/OPS .12.

Runtime will always vary according to weather, track and personal engine tuning knowledge......as well as header and pipe setup. I'm getting 11-13 min. of runtime on my .12 with a stock Mugen MST-1 header and pipe with temps between 190 and 220. On my .21 I'm getting around 9 min at 220 in 100+ deg. weather with the Radical header/pipe combo.

I would highly recommend TQ Fuel and Radical Engines to anyone.
