Default Which 1/8 buggy to buy??

Hello, I am looking into getting an 1/8 buggy to run in a new dirt oval latemodel class. Looking for entry type buggy to get me started but wanted some input on which one I should look for. Dont want to spend a lot until I see the divison is going to take off, but also dont want to buy something that brakes alot and or cant get parts for. Dont know much about 1/8 scale yet so Need some help. What would the best size engine/brand be for a smaller dirt track? I do run 1/10 nitro though. Thanks for any info and everyone have a great day... Patrick

I would sayget the X-ray because if you plan to race oval with the car you need a car thats very adjustable to get the setup right and the x-ray is th emost adjustable car.

i would look into buying a used buggy and putting in a 3 port like a nova rosi bf21 or the 150 dollarish os. good buggies to look at are kyosho, mugen, xray, ofna, losi...they all should work pretty good

I think the x-ray is a little out of my range right now. Is the ofna ultra a good one? Any input on the Duratrax rave or axis? From searching I think the axis has been discontinued but not for sure. Thanks for the info, Keep it coming!! Patrick

Don't rule out EBay. Last weekend, an XRAY XB8 went for $152. They are built like tanks. In 1 1/2 seasons, I have only broken 1 wing mount.

sportwerks mayhem/turmoil are good buggy's and parts are reasonable. and if they could hit that concrete wall about 10 times and only break once it seems like a good investment to me.

Losi or jammin all the all way!!!! owned both and are awsome! you can get a jammin rtr new for $500 and losi rtr for $650, but the losi has a more free drive train and top of the line radio system. both are awsome buys but I would go with losi, its everything you need to win race out of the box.

alot of people are using a ofna gtp. Any buggy will work, just add a bumper and body mounts. I havent seen an x-ray run it yet, but alot of the ofna 9.5, GTP, Jammin X1CR. Goto www.dirtoval.com more info there
