OCM KAOS DOMINATING

for the jammin BB shocks
I use the OCM evo (or MBXR) shockrods fr/rr
or even jammin up front, and the longer truggy rodends/balls
and standoffs that come with in the set
rest is a direct fit ....use silver springs most
the IDRC steeringballs are very light 22 grs. and strong
feature steel rods with teflon coated cnc alu balls..
dremeling of the frontarms is not that much effective
but still every little bit helps ...

Word to the wise: Be very carefull using the Jammin shocks on the OCM! The up travel must be limited in the rear (check the front also) to keep the rear drive shafts (CVD's)from getting hung up in the rear diff outdrive cup slots upon landing. If allowed to hang up in the slots, your car WILL break the rear drive shaft close to the diff. Saw it happen 2x on the same race day with the same friend.

Well I saw my first OCM Kaos Truggy today (pooldoc's)! It looks sweet. Ran my Caster K8T with him on my track today and was alot of fun. Looks very well built and accelerates like MAD! For you guys that have truggies we did find out today that the Caster K8T lower suspension arms will fit the OCM and are ALOT CHEAPER than Mugen arms. Cannot wait to get my truggy hopefully next week.

The Caster arms are a little thicker and look stronger. The only difference we could see is the shock mounting positions. The OCM had I think 4 or 5 holes and the Caster Had 2 but there were about in the middle of the OCM holes and were about where he had the shocks mounted anyways. Besides that they looked the same length and everything. The sway bar mount holes were the same too and lined up.

Today at the track my friend broke his lower front arm. He didn't have a spare and used a Mugen lower front arm and replaced both so the geometery wouldn't be different side to side. They looked almost identical until we got the whole front back together. When the suspension compressed, the car had really bad bumpsteer. His tires went from 0* toe to about 3* toe-in when pushed down on the nose. Anyone know how to correct this until we can get him new OCM front arms?

Yes he has caster arms in stock, I got 2 sets for spares, also got a 3piece caster motor mount. Got my new ring and pinion in and put 6 tanks on it, it's holding up fine.
I notice my rear diff is hot after a run, I'm running 7-10-3, think I need to go up to 5 in rear, rear end comes around too easy. I'm running a vspec traded from a buddy, it's got mad power! I'm running a fls 2053 pipe, didn't think this combo would do so well.
Anyways there's new hope I can keep this truggy rolling, hopefully OCM will release some parts here. I got the ring and pinion overseas, shipping is the only bummer, it;s really expensive, if I run into any more diff issues I'm gonna put mooogen diffs in her.
