Guys, I hope this answers a few questions about the trucks that have
been asked. If you have any further questions you can email us @
teamocmracingusa@gmail.com or call 205 601 5578(10-5)

"We will not release the truck until we are 110% confident it will
satisfy and perform for the customers who purchases it. We have now
have a solid kit in the OCM Kaos buggy and trust that it will make
customers happy. As a racer myself I have personally tested the latest
batch of kits sent to the USA and I am talking with the factory on a
couple changes to be made. The truck is very fast and for the most
part very durable but we feel more attention needs to be paid to the
ring/pinion gears. I just can not justify sending the truck to the
stores and then dealing with problems and having unhappy customers who
have had problems. This will hurt us much more than even a delay. So
once these issues are fixed we will ship the trucks to the hobby
shops. In my opinion the truck needs to suit everyone, from the
beginning racer to the expert with years under his belt. We are
working very hard to release this to the public!"

With that said, it's nothing major. It is just very crucial like I
said to work the mesh and shimming on helical cut gears. THis type of
gear is very smooth and effecient but may not be as "build and go" as
straight cut gears.

So knowing that most people will simply purchase a kit and just run it
makes OCM a bit hesitant on this issue. I spent a little time with
mine, running it to break things in then I checked it. I shimmed it
properly and put a fair amount of time on it. Not to mention it was a
high bite track that I am positive worked the gears during
acceleration/braking. Same goes for our other three test truck in
Alabama.

We will have a few more of our drivers getting them to test and give
us some more feedback.

Guys, again sorry for the delay but I would much rather deal with
this than other problems!

Thanks!

Kingz Headz is also going to have some shock towers for the buggy for those extra rough days!

Stay tuned for that....

what is the purpose of the bolts that are outside of the spot where the engine mounts on the top?

it's a 4 piece motormount
for mbx5....
outside screws hold parts below
so you can take the engine out without changing the mesh..

I drive one ...no problems nice

It looks much like the losi mount they came out with a while back. I believe that the ouside screws are for easy access to take the motor out while not interfering with the clutch bell/spurgear mesh.

I ran the 2nd round of the RC Pro Georgia State series this past
weekend. The race was held in Warner Robbins Georgia and is a new
facility recently built last fall. The track is the biggest in the
state built on dirt not normal to the area. It is a sandy surface
that gets rougher as more cars are on it so I knew that by the main it
was going to be tough. After shimming the rear diff properly and
adding the aluminum rear hubs I was anxious to test it out. My car
was awesome! I ran all weekend with absolutely zero problems and in
qualifying the buggy was very fast and consistent in the rough stuff.
I increased the weight of my shock oil by 10wt. in the rear and that's
about all I had to do from my stock setup to get the buggy into the
second spot in the A. At the start of the main I was able to stay
clean coming out of the first corner and held second for most of the
race. The car was awesome to drive and I was impressed with how well
it held up in those conditions. Overall the car was excellent and
maintenance free all weekend. It was a good finish to a great weekend
of racing.

Congrats to all the guys who did well at the border wars race. Sounds
like a great showing for OCM. Looking forward to trying out the truck.
