I don't understand your gripe to be honest.
I'm still running version 1 car with the care pack and it's as good today as it was a year ago.
As for the shocks not being butter smooth, are you running evo shocks?? I ask because the boddies are bigger and don't compress so much on the o-rings, which just happens to make em "butter smooth"
I do have the EVO shocks And the old ones too Anyway, I still prefer the shocks from Kyosho or Mugen Don't get me wrong guys, like I said, I love this buggy, it's just that I've noticed a few things that are 'slightly' against my personal preferences. So, any news for 2008's IFMAR? Winning the championship will be a tremendous marketing tool for this buggy

Razor, if your using the newest bulkheads and shimming your diffs properly, you shouldn't have ANY trouble with the ring/pinion gears.....even the originals. I still have my original 1st run's....they have approx. 14 gallons on them. They are now back ups.

As far as shocks go, the other brands you mentioned do have good shocks. But honestly, our EVO shocks are just as "butter smooth" as any other brand when they are built properly. They may not be the BB's that everyone seems to think is an absolute must have...but they are as smooth and dependable as any other on the market. You should call Alan and go over some things you think we may need to address, he may be able to shed some light on some of your problems.

hahahahaha, it seems I overlooked a few things Apparently, my 12T diff bevel pinions are running on 5x16x5 bearings, thus, they aren't like the current ones which run on 8x16x5s Anyway I'll get my updated replacements soon. Thanks for all the heads up

Well guys,

I have mixed news. I am happy to say Mike Battaile bumped into the
amain at motorama in only his first race with the car. He then on the
first lap went from 14th - 5th and then got into the lead and battled
with chad Phillips maintaining the lead for almost 20 minutes. He had
some issues that popped up and took him out at 25 minutes while
leading. I will find out and report back

It may have been a broken rear cvd pin.....

man! lol...

I feel better, talked with Mike. He said car went through all of
practice, quali's, and a 30 minute main and was perfect. For some
reason the schedule was flipped to adjust for something and gave Mike
only 30 minutes from the 30 minute bmain to his 45 min amain. So he
did not have a chance to go over the rig and it bit him. he has not
had a chance to check but I think his rear cvd set screw came loose

Couple high points he was happy about...

bumped from b and won that by a very nice margin, started 14th in
amain and first lap was in 5th....20 minutes in he had a 22 second
lead on the field. Not bad for the very first run on the ride.

Good job to all of the guys!

so are the new big bores for the buggy going to be a running change or an option part? If they are going to be included in the new kits I will wait on the kit.
Needing to get a buggy soon. Does it come with a body?

just take a 0.50 or 0 insert
they are just 0.25 mm of center of the 0.25 inserts
that's not much..

Put a .5 up for antidive and a 0 for the upper arm. That should get you close.

From Alan Burton at the Nitro Challenge in AZ:

hey guys....

Dustin is super fast and I look for him to make it to the bmain if he
holds together. He honestly had the speed for the main...

He just is learning the pressures of a huge race atmosphere and 30
guys as fast as ryan lutz He was running his mugen for this race. Of
c ourse Mugens dont fall apart but this poor truck is just in bad
shape

Mike had a steering servo go out in his heat(it also was pouring in
his heat). So we got to do it in the last two heats

I had a good run and buggy was pretty good. I was a bit conservative
as always at big races and I think I am 33 or so...

I can pick it up and hope to do that on saturday

I got a loto of pics If anyone can spread this info around the other
forums that would be great and I'll talk to you guys soon!

AB

Of course it rained us out today..lol
