Did some local racing today guys...small turnout but we managed to do
well. Buggy did well, engine is ready to go!

Mainly just testing things today getting ready for CRCRC in a month.

However...I did try some lightweight pillow balls (TEFLON HARDCOAT aka
THC) sent to me by Ralph Walters. These are very well thought out.
They have drilled areas to reduce friction and weight, maintnance
free, and of course teflon coated material to ensure super smooth
action. These units are 1 gram shy of being half the weight of a stock
ball. Add that times four and thats some savings!

Throughout the day these worked flawless and held up well. As I run
these more I'll keep you guys updated. As his site gets developed I'll
post the website, contact info, etc....

If you want to email me I can give you his email...

so we had a local series race in houston today, and there were 5 OCM's there! 3 truggies, and 2 buggies! there were 4 of us running them, 3 of which are OCM team members. (I'm not a team member ) i was running great until i broke a tooth completely off of my clutch bell to where it exposed the bearing.

Were you running an OCM clutch bell?

in different ways. Just read and let me know what you think. All of
these will be ARR like AE, losi, etc...thats a given at this point.

What we plan is to have the same buggy we have now but in a optioned
model. This will include bigbores(HARDCOATED), option chassis, alum
rear hubs, one piece engine mount, possibly re designed ackerman
plate. It will also include 3 different sway bars for f/r for a total
of 6. Again same buggy as current one just with options...

Approx cost $430

Then we would have a "SPORTS" arr. This kit would be again almost the
same with some cheaper features. Some of them would be cvd's in front
but dogbones in center and rear, plastic chassis braces, plastic
antisquat and anti dive blocks but other than that pretty much the
same kit minus all the options.

Approx cost $300

Same would go for the truggy as well with a slight increase in price
over buggy.

We will also offer both in a rtr model and should start at about $350!

for guys with kits you will be able to purchase these options, as you
can now for great prices....

thanks!
sounds awesome ab .......cant wait to my hands on the new kit will be ordering soon

Nik, your car looked really good out there!
The truggy's looked good too. Mark Marrow was only 1 second behind Jason Branhams TQ and Paul Shultz qualified 3rd.

OCM ended up 2nd in Truggy in the main.

OCM also ended up 4th in the truggy main.

I ended up starting last in the b-main because i had technical difficulties and didnt make any of my qualifiers. I took the holeshot in the b main and held 1st place all the way through until there was 25 seconds left, and my motor moved! I ended up 4th.

I think its my spur gear that keeps causing my motor to move. The screw that keeps the clutch bell in place came loose a couple of weeks ago and kinda chewed up my spur gear. I guess i'll have to order another spur gear when i order my EVO kit.

Thanks Tmizzle and DirtRacer. OCM is coming on really strong here in Houston, and i hope it's doing so elsewhere. Alan, you picked a really good team IMHO.

Thanks Brandon. It will be even faster once i manage to get the money for the EVO kit! The track we ran on yesterday was mainly topsoil. The track owner was a cheapskate and went to get free dirt to rebuild the track, so the whole thing was completely rutted out after just a days worth of racing. The OCM's were about the only buggies that weren't being just tossed around by the track. Altough mine was good, Mark Morrow's with the evo kit had no troubles at all. I can't wait to get it!

A wing decal sheet should make it into the new kit boxes soon with these nice designs...They will all be on one sheet...I cut them up so I didn't have to scale them down too much to post them on the forum...
