I'm wondering if the 3-2-1 holds true for the truggy as well, anyone tried it?

the us team drove 7000/7000/3000 in the truggy
which is in the same line...

Ryan Lopez 's 808 drove 10000/10000/7000 at the farm2..

working on the 10.000/7000/2500 set-up
I found some good things that settles it...

first I put +2mm extention hubs at the rear
and whooo.. what a difference..
the buggy was much more easy to rotate all the way
front even hugging better the pipes
rear was still a bit nervous for my taste

then I put 3.50° toe-in at the rear, instead of usual 2.50 degrees now
and
...the buggy was glued to the track
hugging the inside of the pipes
direction on and offpower
rear gently following.. I can't get it to move
magic..

I don't change much anymore, this is my set-up from now on
Yiepie

Sounds like it is running pretty good! I finally got my OCM truggy up and running. It is really nice, jumps well and turns ok for me. I have not messed with the setup but it needs alot more turning for my taste. Of course I do not know how Alan drove or his setup in diffs and stuff but my caster out turn it like crazy right now but I do have some old small shocks on it right now with buggy front springs so it is in now way setup good at all! I will be putting some big bores on it soon and will have to mess with it some more. I did due some pretty hard crashes at my local tracking just messing around with a WAY STUPID new jump they got and hit some trees a couple times LOL! Make it my crash test dummy!

Chubbz
Truggy setup

Front:
Mugen diff and pinion - they don't stip
7000 wt oil
upper arm mount 0*
caster shims 1 thick in back
lower are mount 0* front
lower are mount 0* rear
steering ackerman - middle hole
sway bar - stock strait up and down at ride height
shocks - mugen mbx5t - more consistent - smooth
springs - mugen red / ocm blue
pistons - 1.5
oil - losi 50
top location - 1 in from outer most
bottom location - center

center diff

Kyosho orings in diffs
spur - stock 46 tooth
brakes - ttr/rc8 - more consistent, light, and better feel
7000 weight

rear

mugen diff
3000 weight oil
anti squat - 0.5 up
aluminum rear hubs
camber link - hub location - middle hole
shock tower location - middle hole middle row
hub pin location on arm - upper hole
sway bar - stock - strait up at ride height
rear toe - 1* out
shocks mugen
oil - Losi 50
piston - 1.5
springs mugen red / ocm blue
mount location - middle hole in tower and arm

Redline motor with dyn 086
mugen clutch with dynamite shoes and 1.0 springs
mugen 1 piece mount
2500 mah nimh pack - like the extra weight on that side

Overall tire of choice - can't tell you but you would really be
surprised

Mark uses a longer rear camber link and will switch between all 3
holes on the inside depending on the traction he is going for on the
rear end. I have not changed my location since I tried this one.

I had the mugen clutch, engine mount and shocks from owning a mugen
and trades so those are on there because of that. The shocks I would
have bought if I did not have them.

Cool thanks. As of now I know there is a Mugen diff in the front and a OCM Diff in the rear. I have stock OCM truggy shocks in stock but I have a extra set of TQ racing SX8 big bores to throw on it so I will try those. I will see what the difference is in setup when I get a chance. Thank you.

Well I have 2 sets of different big bores to try out. I have the TQ racing Big bores, and the new Caster Racing Big Bores also. I am going to try both this weekend. The TQ's are threaded shock bodies and the Caster's are clip type. I like the clip type better.
