Thought I'd add a couple of pics of my 7 port in the buggy sporting it's new paintjob..thought it was about time I invested in some new water based paints..Faskolor rocks..thank god no more laquer sniffing and boy is that flourescent bright in the sun..haven't airbrushed in a while so there are a couple of flaws but nothing anyone will see as I blast past them anyway!

there are a few people I wish I could meet on this thread,mostly when a problem like yours comes up. It would be nice to come over and check the mill out. Then there is grizz, mark massive mods god I would love to work for him for a month just to learn. and racer 22[he's from my home state]. Any way I put together one of my 7 ports off of ebay. And what I noticed was it felt sloopy. and it is the one engine that I noticed the pinch was going away a little faster then the others. I may have done the massive mods run in oil a little to much? If thats possible. Not enough heat?It went together hard,meaning the sleeve did not want to slide down into the block easy. This was the engine that made the wisp,wisp noise. come to find out it was the clutch springs[to lite,90's] I'm wondering if your onto some thing here when the engines get rebuilt. This engine has about a gallon on it so I have another one to go until I tear apart and rebuild. Or I may let this one go a little longer. If you stumble across what the problem is please share. I would like to know.

We have reviews on the site for the hand made versions. I am testing the Production model of the MG66 and i have to say that Go have done an amazing job ! i am totally wrapped with it. The hand made version was getting about 12 to 13 mins in buggy tank time. So we envisage the average user should achieve 11 mins tank time. But in saying that tank time has so many variables thats outside the engine its self. two people with the exact set up and engine can achieve different tank times from driving style. So tank time is really up to the end user. EG one of our team drivers was getting 10 mins no problem , when we went into some tune training he ended up getting 14 mins in his truggy. thats a big leap and it was down to tuning experience and fuel choice.

are you lubing them before you run? When I did mine I put some of mmods break in oil on the parts. Just flip piston con rod over spurted it in between rod wrist pin, worked around,installed then put together. put some arond con rod where it goes on the crank. also did rear bearing just cus.
All engines are assembled with oil at the factory but doing what matt has done is a good safeguard for first start.
When i run in an engine i always put some MMARF oil in there and swish it around , then pre heat and start.

Mark, wasn't really a question, more of a Rant. I have a Gen 5 5pt that I love. Problem is, It was time for a new P/S/R. Had a lot of time on it. I could of pinched it but I kinda like new. So I bought a new set, tore the motor down and cleaned everything well. Shot some oil in the block, on the crank, bearings etc.. Assembled the motor and proceeded to break it in. Got almost a gallon on it running it at the track doing some practice/tuning and it died. Anytime a motor dies suddenly I've learned to check to make sure it turns over by hand. It didn't. So I took it home, tore it down and the C clip in the front/intake side was gone and it ruined the P/S. So I cleaned it all up again, bought another new P/S/R and this time installed a Ceramic Rear bearing. Start the break in process again. Got 5 tanks on it and start to lean it out a little each time. Got over a 1/2 gallon on it and take it out again for more tuning and run time. About the 3/4 gallon mark it died. Checked it out, tore it down and I'll be damned the same thing happened again! Front clip gone, P/S shot. So I was wondering why this was happening and wondered if anyone else had a similar experience. Also said I was no longer in love with my Go and was done putting money in it. I could have bought a new motor for what I have into rebuilding this one. The pics in one of my posts show the wrist pins of the P/S/R sets I put in. The one is severely worn and I believe that is what caused the clip to pop. The second one I have no I idea. Sorry for the long post, but I thought I'd try and catch you up to speed. I was going to get ahold of you on this anyways. Thanks.

Hey Mark, sounds like the MG66 is going to be the next BIG thing in the world of GO !!
This motor will really put you on the map bro (us down-under dudes know your on the map already , but I was thinking more Northern Hemisphere).
From what we have heard, and having seen one of the 6 Port prototypes in action over here, it´s all very exciting for us dedicated Team GO people.
I will be watching and listening with interest when the MG66´s start hitting the tracks.

Couple of shots from a recent meeting, and some nice clean and shiny ones with a new pink wing that I can see amongst the other buggies at a great distance. Necessary when the eye sight is not what it used to be
