Well in fact there is a 3 port Go engine under $200. Some discussion about it in the old thread.

Yes there is a 3port engine its called the .21 sport engine, you can find it for around $115 and for I know from experience that it screams, Gets excellent mileage as well. I put in a 7mm restrictor and got 10 min. pit stops at the 2hour enduro race held at the giantNitro Pit track.

Actually that was the 7 port i was running. It was brand new so i was still running it slightly rich. Came off of that 15 minute main at 215 and I usually run mine about 230-240 on a full race tune.

That being said, what you see in the video was probably about 85% of its power. You can see the insane amount of smoke in every turn.

The motors come shipped with std head @.3 mm shim.. this is good for 20% nitro

they also come with an extra .2mm shim , i recommend using . good for 25% nitro

if you add another .1 shim and change to turbo head you can go to 30% nitro safely

Pipes that Go great (in order of greeatness ) are the

LRP 2063 Absolutely delicious !
um.... thats the only one i can recommend .. this pipe was made for the Go !

We changed over from the HN range of pipes .. which were good , but the LRP 2063 is a monster !

i ran my 7 port today and it finaly start to loosen up the metal pinch and i'm very happy with it. i ran it with nova 9886 pipe that usally makes engine flat on low end, but the go simply had more low end that i expected, still very smooth.
the engine is defently equal to higher dollar engines.
now i just hope it will last as long.

I'd like to chime in my experiences on my turbo GO 5 ports ... I used to run a c6 until it ran without a filter. I put a GO 5 port with JP1 and since then it gives up nothing on the bottom and top to my C6 in my truggy. I have 5 gallons on mine now with still great compression(changed conrod at 3 gallons per Russell's recommendation) Also running odonnel 30% with an extra shim (I used a 0.1 shim from my C6, but my 2nd engine came with a free extra shim from racefactor) I even had an issue (caused by me ) and Russ took care of me. I used to be an engine "snob" and only ran italian mills after several bad experiences with SH/STS engines, but try a GO 'cuz the quality is there... Just because it's not italian and without a >$400 tag doesn't mean it can't keep up with the best of them.

PS Here's my personal pipe experiences with a 5 port
JP1 Great bottom Decent top
JP2 good bottom great top
Dynamite 086 hardcoated(my favorite in my buggy) good bottom and even better top than jp2
JP3 slightly better bottom than jp2, but less than dynamite, top is a little better than the jp1, but not as good as the jp2/086

Hi guys I've been running a 7 port for about 6 months now had a few issues with the carb when i first got it but was supplied with a new 1 free of charge and have not had a problem with it since.

I resently added a turbo head to it and I am running a novarossi long cold plug with a hong nor 2047 pipe with a medium smooth flow header, 25% nitro 12% oil and I'm getting about 8.5 to 10 minutes from a tank in my 8ight depending on the track, gearing, carb restrictor etc.

I also own a novarossi plus21-5t and i have to say that GO engines definately run as well it not better in some cases as I brought it as a club motor to save the rossi but don't really want to change it out

they are definately worth giving a try just watch out for your starter box because man they are tight when they are new

Yeah I had to bust out the heat gun & aluminum foil to preheat to 200F before I could start it brand new. Yeah the newer carbs are awesome. Will hold a tune and idle for over several minutes before bogging down. I also like the location of the idle needle on carb. Did you have any problems running a long turbo plug? I thought OS turbos were shorter and I've been running mine with P3's for awhile now on 30% I'm thinking about trying put p4's or p6's with mine for better glow plug longevity. I'm not running lean as they do last about a gallon and the bottom of the plug is damp with oil after running. Still these $10 plugs are getting to me lol. Tried an odonnell 97T but kept flaming out.

Magbarn try the O'donnel 77t they are hotter than the 97t and should act more like the p3. So you shouldn't see the flameout issues, also they are around 6.50 a plug.

I've been running a 5 port standard plug and have a little over 4 gallons on it. I used to get about 8:40 minutes indoors on a super smooth high bite clay track in the winter with air temp around 40f. Now it's summer on lower traction and I couldn't get 6:30 mins. until yesterday.

I put in an OS A3 plug, and 7mm NR restrictor and brought the temps up to around 250. I now have a motor that I feel comfortable pittting once in a 15 min main. I don't feel that I lost anything much on top and it tamed the wicked bottom.

I simply don't believe anybody's claim of 11 mins. on these motors outdoors in summer. They are great but not magical.
