Well, I used to own a Jammin X1 and managed to finish 2nd in the 2006 Roar region 8 race.

Since then, I sold it and have stuck with 1/8 buggy. Everyone I used to race with sold their Jammin's and switched to the Mugen MBX5T. They said the jammin was a lead sled compared to the Mugen!

I don't know if that helps. theirs also the 8ight-T which isn't as popular at our track as the mugen. But the reverse goes for the 8ight Buggy, about 75% of our buggy turn out is Losi 8ights. And I'm sure in the right hands, the Losi 8ight T could knock off the Mugens at our track. I'll have to test this theory next season when I hopefully get one.

Check the winners circle, that will narrow your choice.

I have respect for the Mugens and Losi, but I run the Jammin. I just drop a fresh motor in for the season and have at it! My friends have the Mugens and Losi's. We fight hard with them. I do think within a year, Jammin is going to make a change or two. Most of us have lightened up our rigs with the BCE chassis and a few other mods, but even without the mods, the Jammin is very hard to beat. I think it is all about who is behind the controls and how you outfit your rig.

MT's are fun but clumsy, 1/8 buggies handle great but dont have much ground clearance for blown out tracks, truggies combine the two. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun driving something as I do with a truggy.

Talking

There are only 3 in my book.
Mugen for stability and ease of driving.
Losi 8T for very quick handling like a buggy. It is not for the faint of heart!
Xray XT8 for adjustability and fit and finish.

Ilke the Losi but that is just because that is what I drive for Buggy. I am familiar with it.
My 2 cents...
