Tuning Issue
I just got a Werks B7 Pro and the thing runs like a raped ape when its bottem end is a little lean, but it burns up plugs (novarossi #6, OD97T). When I richen it up a couple hours on the bottom it won't idle at all, I've tried turniing up the idle and that didn't help either it just idle higher before it died. I was thinking about maybe going to a colder plug. Any help would be appreciated I've been doing this for 15+ years but only got into nitro two or three years ago.

Go up to an O'donnell 99 plug. When it won't idle, you need a hotter plug.

Well the 99 wont work I need a turbo plug. The engine is a dog if i richen it up to not burn plugs so unless a hotter plug would make it run better on the bottom as well I don't really want to go that route. I want it to run like it does when it burns plugs but not burn plugs.
I was also thinking maybe the top end is too rich and Its forcing me to run the bottom too lean which is burning plugs.
If anybody knows the Werks factory settings on the carb that might help too.

I think all turbo plugs are the same. I was going to suggest an OS P3 its a hot plug that will make a v-spec idle all day.

yes turbos are the same. i have run both os and od plugs in my vspecs

The smaller the engine(size), the hotter the glowplug.
The more Nitro, the colder the glowplug.
The hotter the outside temperature, the colder the glowplug.
The more RPM(long straights), the colder the glowplug

I understand all that no problem its the whole long plug short plug thing I don't get... Some people say it doesn't matter some say it does, some people say they run an os plug in the werks or novarossi etc... engines some people say you can't. My LHS only stocks OS plugs so if I can that would be great otherwise I have to get them to special order a bunch for me. Right now this burning up plugs thing is keeping me from racing this weekend as the only plugs I can get right now are OS.
