Car is Great. As for motor..go with the Picco P7r or the Jammin JPX21. Both engines are awesome and Lester at Wolcott stocks them! It will also keep you under your $300 by quite a bit.

Thanks for your help, now i hear this car only comes with servo horns for futaba servos, what horns are you guys using and what are some top of the line servos futaba makes that would be good for steering and throttle.

I was thinking a getting the the new jr9100s for throttle and steering. but if it has futaba horns ill use futaba servos.

if you want to use JR why not just use their horns? new servos should come with their own horns.

For airtronics or JR servos use the airtronics servo horns.

If using Futaba servos get the new brushless servos!!

I just got one and Im putting it together as we speak. I wanted to run it as close to the box stock set up as possible without changing anything. I do have some questions though.....

Does anyone know what the stock set up is or where I can find it so I dont have to rip the whole thing apart just to get my baseline set up?

Also what effects does the 8 gear center diff have on it that is different from the traditional 6 gear center diff.

Thanks
.

Hey, just wanted to let you cats know that I've finally gotten to the point with my Novarossi 21-5K where it is starting to come alive, power wise (Finished break-in). Everyone was commenting on how strong it sounded and looked. I was running some good laps with it at the last race. It is a good motor option for a Hyper 8.5...

I have just finished up dating my chassis to the 8.5 FR2. I got the center diff brace and front, rear brace as well.
I noticed that the center diff is sitting higer now with the brace under it. I like every componet to be as low as possable but i guess this is how it's suppose to be?? Its a big mass to raise the c,o,g . Im thinking of doing away with that brace and use a z bend brace from a x1 cr and use a bush to maintain the rear brace to the chassis.
I noticed a difference by just custom making my rx battery with a cell lower so i would to hate to think what this would do.
Has anyone else noticed this problem??
