I have driven the RC8 and the 8ight and I would never trade my H8.5 for any buggy on the market right now, i'm fast with it, doubt I will be faster with any other.

My friend stopped using this team loser and he bought kyosho for the ultimate. As for myself, I'm still doing fine with Hyper8.

You got it.
Just put in your engine, electronics, and tires and go.

My wife and I each have one and we love them. I will never go with another buggy. This thing is awesome.

There is nothing you really 'need' to make it competitive, she's a great car out of the box.
About the only real functional hop-up that you might want is a set of fibre discs. Personally I like the Ultimate brand ones, and to save the hassle of removing the material off the old pads, buy a new set as they come un-bonded, just throw them in.
You also may want to consider a standard centre diff setup, as the spider has some funny handling traits some people find annoying.

I did the same thing. The stock brakes just weren't stopping enough for me. Now, it stops on a dime (more like a quarter but you get the idea)

Many thanks
