We have just about every parts as about, except only R4 chassis. LHS claimed they were not given FR2 chassis.

Check out the clutch system. If you hear grinding sound then it flame out, most probably it's the worn bearings allowing the bell to rub against the flywheel side.

JUST ordered mine.

I am going to be dropping a Pro-Twister Mod Go 5 port with a JP2 pipe for power. I will be swinging servo horns with my Hitec 5955 for steering and Airtronics 358 for brake and throttle and controlling the whole thing with my Nomadio React.

I hope I can have it ready for next weekend

I am PUMPED!

The 8.5 is roughly 7.7, 7.8lbs ready to throw out on the track. That is what mine weighs on the shipping scale here at work.

what diff oils do you guys use for this buggy as well as the shock oil

the track that ill be useing at the moment is dry(usually with some water hosed on for traction) and the set up of the track is fast and technical.

On mine I used 7K in the front 3K in the center Spider diff and 1K in the rear.

Hey guys-

Can someone PM a link to a fairly active Hyper 8 forum?

OFNA Hyper 8 Forum

Is about as active as it gets. Just search through the older posts and you'll find that there aren't too many things that haven't already been discussed about it more than 50 times...

LOL

I remember reading somewhere that a guy was using the Associated RC8 fuel tank on the Hyper 8.5 and liked it a lot...

If you are using the RC8 tank (You can release it with 'clips'), please post up some pics of it in the 8.5 and give us more details!

Thanks in advance!

Just bought the wife an 8.5 and she loves it. Got the Picco P7R Evo 2 and that thing just flat out gets it. I'll try and post some pics soon.
