im sure the os FS26 four stoke for touring cars can be made to work just fine in your jato....as far as the vzr thats an on road engine, but is pretty much the same as the vspec, and its a very good engine, some would say its the best engine to date not me, but its one of the best....

v-spec is probably going to be the one i get but would it be better of worse than the trx 3.3, and would i be able to fit an Axial .28 Spec 1S into my jato or would it just be too big

your jato is set up for a small block engine, so i would not try to run the vspec or the axial....instead i would look into something like a OS18TZ as an upgrade for a jato....

You could also try nova rossi ns15s5(very strong use it in my 1/10 buggy) or i've had good luck with the os .18 tm EB mod, OS .21 VZ-R Turbo II Also I have came across some people who use these they say real fast a little lacking on the torque but i'm not sure on there gearing.
