I kinda like the body. it has a lower profile and roll bars.

mainly the difference is it has aluminum shock towers, aluminum arm stays, I think the braces are different too and some parts are now carbon fiber

I did a search and nothing yet... OFNA is reporting August release as the trugg is still in race team testing, but not sure when that was published. Only one site (in the UK) reported a preorders with a due in mid July... we all know that ain't true.

It isnt available in aussie yet and they are saying mid august but it is normally later than that till we get anything, we seem to be the last place on earth to get most things. does it handle much better with the new braces and top mounts?

Default RTR Questions

Thinking of getting a Hyper ST RTR & just wondered what breaks (weak points/ spares needed) & what initial mods need to be done for racing? Also are the servo's upto the job & if not what's everyone using?

Thanks

eauman: CNC knuckles is a must coz the stock ones are kinda weak. And also the brake system. Some uses a hong nor fiber disc (part no. XT 16) and metal pads I will be trying this set up. For steering I use Ace r/c DS 1015 they're the best. And you can use the orig. steering servo on the throttle / brake. Good luck!

Thanks for replies, I have since read that knuckles were weak & to replace with CNC, any recommendations of where to get them from in Oz or elsewhere? Also read front & rear chassis braces & C-hubs can break what are the recommended replacement parts? What are recommendations for brake system?

Also interested to see anyone's Ozzie setups especially diff/shock oils etc.

Any other servos recommended & Ozzie sources ?

TIA

My Hyper ST was flying from the last race I attended and I see no sign of breakage in my front and rear chassis brace nor the c hubs. For brake system try the Hong Nor (Jammin) fiber brake disk (part # XT 16) and grind the lining on your brake pads. make sure that it is smooth. It makes a big difference. For servos try Futaba 9351 or the Hitec TG series. Shock oil will depend on your driving style and track that you will run to.. Good luck!

The handling of the truggy was good. turnings were sharp. and it FLIES.....
