yep, pretty neat to see all the different brands do so well. I say job well done to racers and manufacturers.

Maifield never flamed, he had electrical issues. It appeared to be a steering issue that just sent him to the left and off the track at the end of the straight the first time. After that he dropped to 9th and worked his way back up to 4th. While he was running with Ryan Cavalieri, it appeared that he may have had the same problem or at least some electrical issue that took him out of contention.

The new Associated RC8:
TQ'd 3 out of the 4 rounds
had two of only four cars to turn 11 laps in qualifying
had the only two cars to turn 28 second laps
lapped the field at the 1/2 way point in the main
Dominating performance!!

I personally do not have a manufacturer preferance so manufacturer battles aside, it is a shame to see that the fastest car did not win because of an electrical failure. Drake however, did what needed to be done to win a title. He stayed consistant and he is the National Champion. Congrats to Team Losi and Adam Drake.

I agree that Mayfield was the fastest and it appears the AE car is worth the money. Congrats to Dirtburners for putting on a good show for the midwest. Seems like the best turnouts are always in the midwest.

This is similar to last year when Travis Amercuz TQ every round of the qualifing and did not win the main. I have always believed that it is more the driver than the buggy. All I see is that the RC8 is showing promise not dominance.

I wanna congratulate my teammate and friend on winning his first ROAR National- GOOD JOB ADAM!

As many others have been learning over the years, Adam is a great guy and a dedicated racer. He is also an excellent ambassador for the hobby and has really filled the role model that Matt Francis established. A win like this for the Drake has been a long time coming and he has earned it.

Congratulations to Adam for having all the "bits" together to have a fast and solid car to last the race to win the national championship race. Also congratulations to Maifield for the TQ, bummer a win was taken away due to mechanical/engine/electrical issues b/c he was dialed in the main on XTR Bowties as was everyone else on the PL team that used that tire.

A big reason 1/8 is so popular ..

you can be the meanest, fastest guy on the planet !!!

This still does not mean you will win .....

Great to see an A-Main with so many brands racing at the same level ... congrats from Southamerica (right now im in Bogota-Colombia) for Adam Drake, he did a great race yesterday.

Anyone have information about Taylor James and Chad Bradley ?, what happened to them or their cars ?

thanks, cya,

al horne, jesse robbers, adam drake, mike truhe are all normal drivers too? anyone making it into the top 50% i would say (as a whole not just the a main) is probably better than an average ace club racer. drake won with other cars (same cars are still being used and made the a main)
