Also what's the difference between the GT2 and the T4 wheels? Not the Quick Changers, but the regular ones.

Guys,

The only difference in the T4 and GT2 wheels is the Posi Lock, the off set is same. If you look at the GT2 RTR they use the FT GT/T4 axles pins part# 7369 . You can upgrade the GT/T4/GT2 RTR to the Posi Lock system. Most of the team drivers have updated the T4 to the Posi Lock system. This update make tire testing easier IMO.

Part # 7988
Posi-Lock Quick-Change Truck Conversion Kit. No more screwing and unscrewing nuts to install your wheels! For GT, T4 (“AE” trucks with MIP-style CVDs axles)
Retail: $45.00

The front rims are the same off set just a new mold to match the rears. I have some old T4 front rims that I run on my GT2. All of the new rims are made by AE/TTR now. My rims are all white so it is all good.

Hope that helps

That's what it looked like when visually comparing them. The fact that they are a new part # led me to wonder (things that make you go hhmmm)

# 7846 White Front rim fits T4, GT/GT2 RTR/GT2
# 7847 White Rear rim fits T4, GT/GT2 RTR
# 7980 White Rear Posi Lock Rim fits GT2 and GT/T4 (with conversion)

# 7850 Yellow Front rim fits T4, GT/GT2 RTR/GT2
# 7851 Yellow Rear rim fits T4, GT/GT2 RTR
# 7984 Yellow Rear Posi Lock Rim fits GT2 and GT/ T4 (with conversion)

Hope that helps

Yes Sir,

Those would be the T4 front and Rear rims. The rear rims are for 3/16" axles. I see no reason why you could not run the T4 rims on a GT/GT2 RTR/T4. Coach or Brent correct me if I am wrong.

I have a GT2 and a T4, so for me it is easier to buy just the GT2 rims. I have already upgraded my T4 to the Posi Lock system (love it) this keeps it simple for me.

See you guys at the Farm in August

Nitro Herb,

Glad I could help, the orignal GT (Black Tub) had a different axle size. When AE came out with the T2 they changed to the 3/16 axle. I belive the FT GT only came with the 3/16 axle.

Have a good weekend to all.

All of the dish truck wheels that we make are the exact same offset. All of the new part numbers are in the GT2 catalog.

The fronts are all the same between GT2, T4, etc...

For the rears, you can run the 7847 white and 7851 yellow dish rear wheels with wheel nuts on either a T4 or GT2. For the GT2 to use wheel nuts, just switch over to a T4 CVD kit with the same wheel spacers and everything. The GT2 1.5 deg hubs are the same bearing spacing so you only need to put in the CVDs.
