Default Best engine for <$400 C6BB7T v Plus 21-5KT v Werks TLB7pro

Help me choose which engine for my mugen MBX5r. It's for the Revelation raceway in southern california which I believe is about a medium sized track. It's at www.revrace.com I want an overal well balanced motor with good bottom and top end. Thanks in advance! Reliability is also very important with a good reliable carb.

Actually with that straight, you need some kick ass top end too. The C6BB7T with a 2045 pipe and 92mm header is your best bet hands down. THough all those engines are amazing.... But the C6BB engine is probably the fastest unmodded (acceleration and top end) engine out there.

The straight is 200feet right? I know that one of the guys from Elite hobbies in Covina runs a ninja .28 with a 16tooth clutch bell to get the top speed he wants. That is considered a big track now since the change.

I forgot to say, the carbs on those engines are great also. As far as engine reliability, you cant beat the RB and Novarossi. I haven't seen enough people with the Werks to know.

there are a couple guys up here that the new werks b7 pro engines, and I don't think there is anybody that can pull on them in down the straights, those engines scream on the top. Plus, they sound freaking awesome with the werks 2013 pipe.

Is there a big enough difference between the turbo and non-turbo C6BB to warrant the price difference? Also aren't turbo plugged engines much harder to tune?

Ive seen a price difference as little as $10 between the C6BB and C6BB7T. The difference is that the 7T is a turbo engine, meaning slightly more power. It is what the team members use.

If you get one of these engines....please get a matching pipe and not some JP1 2 or 3 pipe... Why buy a great engine to decrease its performance with a pipe not matched to your engines characteristics...?

Go Tech 7 port on a 2013 for me.

Oh never mind just noticed the <400, you wont want the Go Tech at 209.00. You want to over pay for performance

HMMMMMMMM strange, ive been running a novorossi P5X, and a Plus .21 7BT for awhile now, and went through most of the novarossi pipes including the one suggested for the P5X, and none of them worked as well as the JP-3, or Ofna 086.....Guess i just cant get into the engine/exhaust matching gimmick anymore.....

but just to be non bias i will go to my LHS on mon. and pick up a werks 2013 for my TL.21PRO just to see if its any better, but im sure it will be waisted money....

Does the Gotech 7 port have a reliable carb? Will it have shavings in the motor which will later destroy the crankcase? My first and ONLY experience with go-tech has been with my Cen Truggy stock motor which is a Go-tech 3 port .28 The HSN was leaking from the start along with bits from the backplate pull starter which worked their way into the crankcase shredding the conrod and the crankshaft. If you can garantee that won't happen I might consider a gotech engine again.
