tuning MGT .21
When I hit the gas on my truck (AE MGT with the .21 MGT motor) the truck stalls when it gets up to around 180deg temp. I have put new gas, new glow plug. It idles just fine and never stops. I tried raising my low end needle to see if that was the problem. Still stalls. I raised my high end to see if that could help. Nope. Now what should I check now? Compression on the motor looks OK.
I can't even get it to go on the second gear before it stalls.
The previous owner was running 30% and I am running 20%. Maybe just a serious tunning needed.

if he was using 30 and your using 20 thats one thing. make sure your glow plug is for your fuel and air/humitidy rating , try getting it to accelerate ( bottomend) and then get the top end. check here for glow plugs ratings http://www.outlawrc.com/glowplugs.htm

The problem could be a shim. To run the TTR .21 on 30% nitro it was necessary (or at least recommended) to run another shim or two under the cooling head. Pull the cooling head and see how many shims are under it.

Thanks for the help guys. Got it running smoothly and way fast with lots of torque. What I did was...put it back to factory settings and go on from there.
Wow, that was simple. Thanks for the glow plug page too.
