Shane, glad to hear it. Hope you know where Caster is now and what we are about, and I hope you feel you made the right decision. Thank you for helping us gain attention here in the r/c world. I hope you continue on and are even more successful in the future.

Hey guys wanted to let you know my new site is up and running and got all my Caster parts up. Much easier to navigate and find what you need compared to my old site.

I've never driven either of those buggies....but I can tell you that I haven't been disappointed by my Caster ZX-1R at all.

It has actually suprised me in many ways...these guys(Caster Racing) really have a good product. They also offer one of the most complete product lines of any company around.

On track performance is impressive. It's one of those cars that may not look and feel ballistic... but the lap times are better than you would think, and it's very consistent lap after lap. It's like a Cadillac, but it's still athletic.

I have no issues with it... my car has plenty of steering... jumps awesome (especially with the Caster big bores) and just "feels" good on the track. Not skatey and on the edge... just smooth and consistent.

"Couldn't find a thread about the caster ZX-1 buggy anywhere so i thought i would start one. How long have you ran a caster and what do you think about them?"

it doesn't show
in "search threads" mode
...but shows in "search posts"...strange

The ZX-1 is teh older version of the ZX-1R.
Its about 2 years old.
Very similar setup but to ZX-1R but there has been improvements in plastics used, and cosmetic changes as well as quaility control.
I raced a ZX-1 Pro for 2 years and it ran well with no real issues besides the occassional breakage from driver error.
The ZX-1 can be upgraded as you wear out parts to the spec of a ZX-1R which is essentially the bulk heads being the biggest diference.
Pop around the casterracingusa forum and we can give you support and info there.

Default ZX1-R conversion to electic

Just got an ZX1-R. Will the electic conversion work or is it better to buy a EX1. Could someone let me know the differences. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure how the conversion kit is structured....but I know the EX-1 kit looks really nice.

As does the ZX1-R.

The Caster conversion for nitro buggy includes what is in the pic below. They are 105 bucks. I do not have them in stock but can order them if they are available yet. You can get the Fusion EX-1 for 320 at www.holeshothobbies.com. Depends on what you really want to do. If you think you are not going to run nitro at all then the conversion is a great idea. If you think you are going to run both occasionally I would get the Fusion.
