Eclips have had a bad press over the years - yes they are awkward but generally they are pretty damned reliable.

No probs over here and beeen doing some serious running on them.

I'm planning on going to the KS Pro rnd 4.

I haven't made any of the North Pro Series races so figured it was kinda pointless to go up to Nebraska, when I have a chance to get myself back into the points in the KS Series. Plus I love running at Timberline

OK, got home last night and took a look at the hinge pins. I have a rear outer hub hinge pin strait off a mugen MBX5R that measures 3mm in diameter. The stock outer hinge pin that is on my Caster measures 4mm in diameter.

Did the stock Mugen MBX5 have a larger pin, or has there been a change on the ZX-1R?

Yo Kieth! hope its all good.

99% certain the mugen never changed hinge pin dia between 5 and 5R. Me thinks the Caster is better

Mugens have a thinner rear hub pin and its 3mm where as teh ZX-1R has a 4mm thick one.

That's what I've been saying all along.

So Kieth, are you sure you're running Mugen pins all around?

Default M2C upgrades

Hey everyone, just dipping in to say hi and that the new M2C rear suspension setups for the mugen fit the caster beautifully. I tested them this past weekend and they look and perform awesome. The new ones might not show on his website yet but you can call and ask if your interested.

Ya, had a good race day That was also my very first race day with the ZX1-R. Still got a small amount of tuning to do, but defiantly headed in the right direction.

And also to clarify the hinge pin thing, I talked with Kieth in person this weekend and looked over his car. I found that he has mugen arms and hubs installed so he can use the mugen rear outer hinge pin.

So to clarify, the mugen mbx5 rear outer hinge pins are too small to fit the stock Caster ZX1R arms and hubs. And will not work.

All of the inner hinge pins from a MBX5 work perfectly

Congrats to Dave A. as well, I hear he TQ'd the north RC Pro Series this last weekend and had 'em covered in the main when he had some radio problems. Good weekend for Caster in this area

The OCM rear outter upright captured hinge pins work on the Caster buggy....with the Caster arms and uprights.
